In an earthly sense, Christ was the loneliest soul on this earth. Who among us can fully understand and relate to His unique earthy sojourn? Yet, He endured His experience so that He might fully understand our lonely journeys and be positioned to lift each of us up.
While this may seem too difficult a task for a lonely and misunderstood man, in a heavenly sense, Christ was the least alone of all for He was fully connected to the Father. Though He found many an opportunity to teach and to heal others, He often sought much needed time alone to commune with His Father. His aloneness was not isolation which leads to disconnection, loneliness and eventually spiritual disrepair but was of solitude. His deliberate stillness, focus, and earnest prayer connected Him to the Father. Rejuvenated by His love, His soul received the necessary power to achieve His sole mission, a mission which none other on earth could achieve, a mission to reconnect us with the Father and His love.
