This fallen earth, though filled with incredible joys and beauties that come with being alive, is often riddled with challenges that stretch the soul farther than the body can seem to contain. For those who suffer, death may seem to be sweet relief from these troubles, a necessary freedom from suffering.  For those left behind, death seems to be a final and permanent separation which comes with never-ending sorrow especially for those who seemed to have left this earth too soon. These illusions could not be farther from the truth.
On the contrary, our relief is not truly met by death but through new life in Christ. The pinnacle of joy is returning home to our Father in Heaven, entering into His rest housed in our new glorious, perfected resurrected bodies gifted to us through Christ’s sacrifice. The completion of our joy is once again uniting with our loved ones who we seemed to have forever lost.  Because of Christ, there need be no loss final nor separation permanent. In Christ, we are freed from what seems to be eternal suffering.  Our grief is only for a moment. All sorrows will be washed away in the joy of Christ, the Victor over death.
